Horses have played an important role in the life of humans for tens of thousands of years, and continue to do so to this day!
Paleolithic cave paintings of horses appeared around 30,000 BC. The people then believed they would be granted power by painting the animal they hunted!

An exercise game played by Turkish and Arabian Horsemen in the 12th Century involved tossing a clay ball filled with perfume!
Carousel is a french word, preparing for competition on legless wooden horses suspended from arms on a central rotating pole, rotated by humans, horse or mule. The horsemen practiced games such as spearing a ring with their jousting lances, enticing audiences.
The carousel later became entertainment and fun to ride and appeared at Fairs and Festivals late 1700's throughout Europe. Thomas Bradshaw invented the first steam powered Roundabout in 1861 moving clockwise. The American Carousel appeared on Rhode Island in 1876 named the Flying Horse moved counter clockwise!
