Vision is very important to an Artist who draws and paints

Peripheral Vision and Squinting your eyes, helps to avoid insignificant detail.
Squinting is used when looking for harmony matching tonal intensity on the grey scale.
Peripheral vision  is used looking left to right helps to see the Big picture, accessing edge relationships and thinking abstractly.
Seeing the Big Picture is an advantage with peripheral vision improving harmony. This helps to see tonal and colour relationships with the subject.

Some artists will paint their palette in a mid tone grey, mid value on the grey scale, and mixing the colours directly on the tonal surface.
The ultimate goal is Harmony, mood and connecting with the viewer.
This is how an artist communicates.

Hope you all enjoy the show!
